State Social Inspectorate to be set up in Moldova

Chisinau, 6 December /MOLDPRES/ - A State Social Inspectorate will be set up in Moldova. The parliament adopted a draft to this effect in the first reading.

Under the draft, the new State Social Inspectorate (presently the Social Inspection) will be an authority subordinated to the Labour and Social Protection Ministry, the competence of which will be to carry out the state control in the social protection sector: finding out contraventions, compilation of official reports and imposing of contravention sanctions.

At the same time, the Contravention Code will be completed with provisions due to establish sanctions for the infringement of the regime as to the providing of social assistance

The parliament is to approve the draft law in the second reading.
