More than 100,000 trees planted in Chisinau municipality

Chisinau, 7 December /MOLDPRES/ - The Chisinau city hall today exceeded the record to plant more than 100,000 trees in one year.

More representatives of the Chisinau city hall, along with activists of the Municipal Youth Centre from the Moldovan capital, today planted more trees, thus managing to exceed the figure of 100,000 trees planted in one year. The 100,001st tree, a lime-tree, was planted nearby the monument to Ruler Stefan cel Mare.

The city hall’s representatives said that a new campaign of planting trees in the capital would start in the spring of 2022.

In the last spring, the Chisinau city hall launched a campaign of greening the city, the goal of which was to plant 100,000 trees.
