Moldovans to be able to enter Romania only with negative PCR test

Chisinau, 7 December /MOLDPRES/ - A string of new restrictions enter into force in Romania as of 10 December 2021, valid till 8 January 2022. Among them, there is: the measure of a 14-day home quarantine  for people coming from third countries (including Moldova) and who do not have a negative result of a RT-PCR test for COVID-19.   

According to the Romanian authorities, the PCR tests must be made 48 hours at the earliest before the departure (for those who travel by mass transportation means) or before entering of the national territory (for those who travel by their personal vehicles).    

The following people represent exception from the quarantine measure: children of 12 years of age or smaller; children older than 12 years and younger than 16 years, if they present a negative result of a RT-PCR test for the infection with SARS-CoV-2 virus, made at least 48 hours before the entrance or people who were not confirmed positive for the infection with the SARS-CoV-2 virus in the last 180 days ahead of the entrance in the country, who remain on the national territory for less than 3 days, if they show a negative result of the RT-PCR test; people in transit, if they leave Romania in 24 hours after entering the country at the latest.    

At the same time, the following categories are excepted from the quarantine measures: drivers of the vehicles with a maximal authorized  capacity larger than 2.4 tons, which carry out the goods transport, as well as drivers of the vehicles with more than nine places on chairs, including the driver’s place, non-vaccinated or who were not confirmed positive for the infection of SARS-CoV-2 in the last 180 days before entering the country, if they show a negative result of a RT-PCR test and the travel is made on professional purpose.
