Termoelectrica stock company of Moldova launches campaign on collection of electronic waste

Chisinau, 8 December /MOLDPRES/ - The Termoelectrica stock company from Chisinau today informed about the launch of a campaign of collecting worn-out batteries and accumulators, thus backing efforts of protecting the environment and reducing the pollution locally.     

Two special boxes for collecting waste were set at the commercial centre of servicing and relations with consumers and at the heating station source I from the Moldovan capital.  

In this way, Termoelectrica is set to encourage the selective sorting of electronic waste and its delivery to recycling. ‘’This campaign fits into the corporate values of the enterprise, through the care for the consumers and the environment,’’ the Termoelectrica acting director general, Vasile Leu, said.   

Termoelectrica urges the residents to join the campaign.

The electronic waste collected will be taken over and recycled by an authorized company.
