Chisinau, 8 December /MOLDPRES/ - The importance of accessible public services and adjusted to the citizens’ needs was tackled at a today’s visit by Prime Minister Natalia Gavrilita to the Stauceni commune, Chisinau municipality. In the context, Stauceni mayor Alexandr Vornicu referred to the local public authorities’ intention to open a multifunctional centre and a single intervention centre in the settlement, which are to ensure more services - police, firemen and rescuers, the government’s communication and protocol department has reported.

One of the solutions considered for constructing the multifunctional centre would be, according to the mayor, the use of a building of 700 square metres – a canteen in a lamentable situation. To be able to be renovated and endowed by local public authorities, the building is to be switched to the management of the Agriculture and Food Industry Ministry and the administration of the local mayoralty.

To build the second institution, the single intervention centre, which is to include the police, ambulance and firemen under one roof, the sides discussed the transmission of a plot of land of 20 ares from the state’s property to the one of local public authorities. The future institution is to serve not only the Stauceni commune, but also other suburbs – Cricova town, Goianul Nou village, etc.

„The example of the Stauceni commune allows us to analyze the systemic problems existing all over the country. On the one hand, we have old buildings, which remain in ruins, and on the other hand, we need to make sure that people enjoy quality services at an as short as possible distanced from their residence. Equally important is that the services provided by the state fully meet all their needs and provide conditions as close as possible to their expectations,’’ PM Gavrilita said.
