Moldovan MPs vote for resignation of Ombudswoman

Chisinau, 9 Dec. / MOLDPRES /- Parliament approved today with 82 votes the resignation request submitted by Ombudswoman Natalia Moloșag.
Even though a communiqué was posted this morning on the website of the People's Advocate's Office announcing that Natalia Molosag had requested the cancellation of the resignation request previously submitted to the Parliament of the Republic of Moldova, MPs approved the decision on her resignation.
According to the deputies' decision, until the appointment of a new People's Advocate, duties will be exercised by child's lawyer Maia Bănărescu.
In early December, Moloșag said she had submitted resignation to the Parliament.
