Chisinau, 15 Dec. / MOLDPRES /- Discussions focused on a number of issues related to the Transnistrian issue took place today during a meeting between Head of the Office for Reintegration Policy Alin Gvidiani and Head of the OSCE Mission to Moldova Claus Neukirch.

Alin Gvidianithanked the OSCE for productive contribution and facilitation of the process of finalizing and reaching consensus on the text of the OSCE Ministerial Council Declaration on the Transnistrian Settlement Negotiation Process, which was approved on December 3 in Stockholm, Sweden, with the reaffirmation of its firm support for the settlement of the Transnistrian conflict within the parameters of the sovereignty and territorial unity of the Republic of Moldova, within the limits of its borders recognized by the international community.

It was mentioned the full openness to have a constructive cooperation on the regulatory process under the auspices of the Polish OSCE Presidency in 2022, highlighting that jointly with the Moldovan authorities to coordinate and outline priorities and viable business objectives.

At the same time, it was announced that the Moldovan side is waiting for concrete data from Tiraspol, which for unclear reasons has rescheduled several meetings of the sectoral working groups proposed by Chisinau during December, and expressed the hope that the meeting of experts from the field of education will take place on December 17 this year as recently agreed.

Separately, concerns have been expressed about Tiraspol's recent behavior, which in a bizarre way deviates from the established format of correspondence between the two banks of the Dniester (currently only possible in neutral form, at the level of offices of political representatives in the negotiation process on Transnistrian settlement) and submits direct inquiries to relevant national institutions, which are perplexed by this in the previously agreed communication platforms and to have a respectful attitude towards the officials and public authorities of the Republic of Moldova.
