Chisinau, Dec. 16 / MOLDPRES /- From 20 December people entering Romania will have to fill in a digital entry form.

According to the Romanian Embassy in Chisinau, the form is a document that shows the countries and areas in which a person traveled before entering Romania. The form is needed to streamline epidemiological investigations, and based on the data, public health departments will be able to more easily identify and contact people who have come in contact with a SARS-CoV-2 virus-infected citizen during the trip.

The digital entry form in Romania contains identification and contact details; the country, region and locality from which he travels to Romania, including those in transit; locality and destination address in Romania; the means of transport with which he travels to Romania; the date of entry into this country and the dates of the accompanying minors, if any.

The digital form can be generated electronically through the https://plf.gov.ro platform. In order to release the form, it is necessary to authenticate with an e-mail address, where the user receives an access link. Then fill in the fields with the required data. The steps are similar to those for generating the EU COVID digital certificate.

When verifying the identity card / passport in the computer system of the Border Police, it will be displayed whether or not the person has filled in the form. It does not need to be printed. The form must be completed no later than 24 hours before entering Romania. It can be set out electronically from your mobile phone, tablet or computer.

People who show up at the border crossing points without a form will have the obligation to complete it within 24 hours. Failure to complete the digital entry form in Romania is sanctioned with a fine from 2,000 lei to 3,000 lei.
