Winners of National Youth Award 2021 awarded

Chisinau, 17 Dec. / MOLDPRES /- National Youth Awards 2021 were presented yesterday to laureates of the National Youth Competition at a ceremony organized by the Ministry of Education and Research (MEC).

Young people, youth workers, as well as youth organizations, winners of the National Competition, were awarded for their contribution to the development of the youth sector and the implementation of projects with impact for young people. The winners were awarded trophies, a diploma from the Ministry of Education and Research, as well as cash prizes worth up to 20,000 lei.

"The prize fund of the contest 2021 amounted to about 170 thousand lei", according to MEC.

Minister Anatolie Topală congratulated the winners, encouraging them to get involved in information activities, counseling young people, to promote ideas and projects, to share good practices. The official also expressed the openness and support of the central authorities for the development of the youth sector, one of the priority areas for the Ministry of Education. The implementation of national and international projects / programs will stimulate the participation of young people in the public life of the country.

During the event, the trophy Ștefan Vodă - Youth Capital 2022 was also handed out. Ștefan Vodă has prepared a complex program, with over 50 activities focused on increasing the civic activism of young people, on entrepreneurial development, promoting a healthy lifestyle and consolidating the youth sector.

The National Youth Award competition is held annually, starting in 2010. This year, it was launched on November 8, 2021, with 42 applications submitted.
