Landowners in Moldova trained in improving soil quality

Chisinau, Dec. 20 / MOLDPRES /- More than 150 landowners from Sangerei, Soroca, Straseni, Stefan Voda, Taraclia, Chisinau and Balti municipalities have been trained in land protection and soil quality improvement.

Last week, the Ministry of Agriculture and Food Industry (MAIA) organized information sessions for representatives of local public authorities, associations of irrigation water users, landowners, about normative acts, land improvement policies, conditions and procedures for granting subsidies in advance for land improvement projects and funding opportunities.

"The participants acquired knowledge on the elaboration and application of normative acts, as well as strengthened the skills of planning and implementation of land improvement projects", MAIA said.

The training activities are part of the Training Program for Agricultural Land Owners on Land Improvement Measures, Protection and Increasing Soil Fertility for 2021, which is on the agenda of the Government of the Republic of Moldova.
