Customs reported more than 690 million lei revenues last week

Chisinau, Dec. 20 / MOLDPRES /- The Customs Service's revenue from the state budget amounted to more than 690 million lei on December 13-19, more than 99% of the budget burden set for this period.

According to the institution, during the last week, the number of passengers who entered the Republic of Moldova is about 93 thousand people. Of these, 1,400 individuals entered goods whose customs value exceeds the non-taxable limit (300 euros - by land, 430 euros - by air), being collected payments in excess of 25 million lei, which represents 3 , 6% of the total amount collected for the respective period.

Also, since the beginning of December, the Customs Service has collected 1.7 billion lei from the state budget, being attested an increase of 27.7% compared to the revenues from the corresponding interval of 2020.

During the last week, 13,001 customs declarations were made, and the most frequented customs posts remain Leușeni and Sculeni, with 11,631 and 7,188 crossings, respectively.

"In the fight against fraud, 205 violations of customs legislation were found during the period and fines amounting to over 349 thousand lei were applied. The most frequent violations refer to the exceeding of the term on the territory of the Republic of Moldova of the means of transport with foreign numbers, declared by action. During the reference period, the officers of the Information Line received 616 requests for information related to the customs activity.
