Moldovan government resumed work with advisory board of small, medium-sized enterprises

Chisinau, Dec. 20 / MOLDPRES /- The Advisory Board of Small and Medium-sized Enterprises (SMEs) has resumed work on the platform of the Economic Council under the Prime Minister. The presidency of the Council is held by Economy Minister Sergiu Gaibu.

The first meeting was attended by representatives of central public authorities, the business environment and development partners. The members of the Council elected as vice-president Liliana Busuioc, executive director of the Employers' Association Alliance of Small and Medium Enterprises of Moldova.

The participants discussed the concept of the National Program for Promoting Entrepreneurship and Increasing Competitiveness for 2022-2026 and set the priorities of the SME Advisory Board for the next period. To this end, a working group has been set up to draw up the Program.

"Dialogue with small and medium enterprises is a fundamental objective of the Ministry of Economy. We want this Council to become a functional platform that offers optimal support and advice to SMEs, so that their voice can be heard ", estimated the Minister of Economy, Sergiu Gaibu.

The mission of the SME Advisory Board is to analyze the competitiveness of small and medium-sized enterprises, the development of skills and entrepreneurship, and to make recommendations for improving the environment for the development of small and medium-sized enterprises. The Council is a platform for discussing the situation of the small and medium-sized enterprise sector and its support policies. The members of the Council are representatives of the public, private and associative sectors.
