Year 2022 might be declared year of gratitude to participants in combat actions for defence of Moldova's integrity and independence

Chisinau, 22 December /MOLDPRES/ - The 2022 year might be declared year of gratitude to the war veterans participants in the combat actions for the defence of Moldova’s territorial integrity and independence. The members of the parliamentary commission for culture, education, research, youth, sport and mass media approved a decision to this effect today.  

The document’s goal is to promote the values, educate the young generation in the heroic and patriotic spirit, as well as to pay homage of state’s gratitude for the merits of the war veterans, who fought for the defence of Moldova’s territorial integrity and independence.     

The document provides for the approval of an action plan, which includes social, cultural, education activities, including meetings of war veterans with pupils from education institutions.

In 2022, Moldova will mark the 30th anniversary of the unleashing of the armed conflict for the defence of Moldova’s territorial integrity and independence. At that time, over 300 people died on battlefield and about 370 were injured or remained with sequelae.
