Moldovan parliament speaker has meeting with ambassador of Egypt

Chisinau, 22 December /MOLDPRES/ - Parliament Speaker Igor Grosu today met Bucharest-based Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of the Arab Republic of Egypt to Moldova Moayad Fathallah Mohamed Eldalie, the parliament’s communication and public relations department has reported.  

The two officials discussed possibilities of developing the bilateral relations, as well as turning to good account the potential of the parliamentary cooperation, especially in the commercial, economic, cultural and tourist fields. In the context, Igor Grosu spoke out for mutual support on international platforms and promotion of common interests.  

”We are interested in taking over the experience of the Arab Republic of Egypt in the infrastructure field, in order to implement as many as possible projects of this kind in Moldova. We want to exchange information and experience in applying technologies and use of systems in diverse sectors, including the energy one,’’ the speaker noted.    

The discussions were focused also on the possibility of restoring monuments; the sides reiterated interest in exchanging experience with the involvement of experts in the field.  

Another important subjects deals with the boosting of Moldova’s cooperation with Egypt in the bilateral trade sector, especially of Moldovan products to Egypt.    

In the end, the ambassador expressed his country’s openness in promoting the relations with Moldova and advancing in all sectors of common interest. 

The officials agreed on establishing a constant parliamentary dialogue, in order to overcome the challenges dealing with the pandemic, energy crisis, as well as the problems of security, migration, etc.
