Construction of access road to Călărășeuca monastery in Ocniţa completed

Chisinau, Dec. 23 / MOLDPRES /- In Călărășeuca, Ocnița district, the construction works of the access road to Adorirea Maicii Domnului monastery, as well as of the tourist infrastructure near the place of worship were completed. The works were carried out as part of a project funded by the National Fund for Regional Development (FNDR) and implemented by the Northern Regional Development Agency (ADR).

The management of ADR Nord and specialists from the institution checked yesterday the quality of the construction works, in the context of the reception procedure at the end of the works within the project. Together with the local public authorities from Ocnita and other parties involved in the project implementation process, ADR Nord representatives inspected the reconstructed route that ensures access to the place of worship, as well as the tourist resort near the monastery, where a bathroom was built and a car park has been set up.

“As part of the project, a 4.62 km long stretch of road was paved and sidewalks were built inside the village of Călărășeuca - on both sides of the road, as well as outside the village - to the right of the road, in the direction of the place of worship ", indicates ADR Nord.

The total cost of the project Modernization of the tourist infrastructure through the construction of the access road to the monastery is 22.48 million lei, from FNDR sources. Construction work on this project began in November 2020 and was completed in December 2021.

The monastery in Călărășeuca is located in Ocnița district, on the bank of the Dniester. It was founded in the 18th century.
