As many as 368 new cases of COVID-19 recorded in Moldova in last 24 hours

Chisinau, 24 December /MOLDPRES/ - A number of 8,588 samples have been processed in Moldova in the last 24 hours and 368 cases of infection with the new-type coronavirus were confirmed. Eight out of the new cases are import ones. Thus, 374,120 COVID-19 cases have been registered in Moldova so far.

According to data by the Health Ministry (MS), 7 out of all infection cases are among medical employees (1 physician, 2 medical assistants, 4 auxiliary staff employees).

As many as 957 people confirmed with COVID-19 are hospitalized in all, of whom 167 are in extremely serious condition and 29 patients are subjected to mechanical ventilation.

In the context, 2,202 persons are treated at home with light and moderate forms of coronavirus and 10,414 are under supervision at home.

Another 428 people have been treated. As many as 359,918 people were treated of COVID-19 in all.

At the same time, MS informs about the registration of another 14 deaths triggered by COVID-19 and 9,589 people have died of coronavirus in all.
