Subsidies in advance for start-up projects to be accessible in Moldova in 2022 too

Chisinau, 29 December /MOLDPRES/ - Young people, women entrepreneurs and  immigrants who returned to Moldova will benefit, in 2022, from subsidies worth 75 million lei in all, in order to start agricultural projects in the rural environment. The money will be allocated from the National Fund for Development of Agriculture and Rural Environment, the government’s communication and protocol department has reported.  

At a today’s meeting, the cabinet approved the amendment of the regulation on the conditions and procedure of providing of subsidies in advance for start-up projects from the aforementioned fund. At the same time, this amendment will give, as of 2022, possibility to as many as possible applicants to benefit from financial support on behalf of the state for developing their own business and create new jobs in Moldova.  

The value of the investment project cannot exceed 1,000,000 lei. The project is to be implemented in a period of 24 months. The financial support from the state budget will be provided in two installments and will account for 65 per cent of the investment’s value; the other 35 per cent will be the own contribution of the participants in the programme.   

The regulation on the conditions and procedure of providing subsidies in advance for start-up projects will be placed on the website of the Agriculture and Food Industry Ministry and the one of the Agency of Interventions and Payments for Agriculture, following the document’s publication in the Official Journal (Monitorul Oficial).
