As many as 422 new cases of COVID-19 recorded in Moldova in last 24 hours

Chisinau, 30 December /MOLDPRES/ - A number of 9,142 samples have been processed in Moldova in the last 24 hours and 422 cases of infection with the new-type coronavirus were confirmed. Eighteen out of the new cases are import ones. Thus, 375,780 COVID-19 cases have been registered in Moldova so far. 

According to data by the Health Ministry (MS), 9 out of all infection cases are among medical employees (2 physicians, 2 medical assistants and 5 auxiliary staff employees).

As many as 732 people confirmed with COVID-19 are hospitalized in all, of whom 127 are in extremely serious condition and 21 patients are subjected to mechanical ventilation.

In the context, 1,893 persons are treated at home with light and moderate forms of coronavirus and 11,636 are under supervision at home.

Another 332 people have been treated. As many as 362,056 people were treated of COVID-19 in all.

At the same time, MS informs about the registration of another 23 deaths triggered by COVID-19 and 9,690 people have died of coronavirus in all. Additionally to the deaths reported today, 579 deaths triggered by COVID-19 are retroactively included, which were not reported and are not contained in the statistics of cases in Moldova.
