Exhibition of drawings by children sick with cancer opened in Moldovan capital

Chisinau, 3 January /MOLDPRES/ - An exhibition of drawings titled, The world where I want to live, made by children patients of the Oncological Institute, today was inaugurated at a bookshop from Chisinau. The event is the first of this kind in Moldova.    

Contacted by MOLDPRES, the head of the Life without Leukemia public association, Natalia Vilcu-Bajurean, said that, during one week, visitors of the aforementioned exhibition would be able to admire over 30 unique works, made by children ill with cancer, hospitalized or who are treated at home, as well as those who overcame the disease. Each drawing has a story behind it and conveys to the entire world a strong love message for people and for life.    

According to the Vilcu-Bajurean, the paintings were made during two months. The organizers provided the children with all needed support, so that they convey all emotions and dreams they have. The young painters were so inspired, that some of them created 2-3 works. The participation in this exhibition is a quite important and responsible event for each child ill with cancer, as this is the first public display of their works.

The exhibition was organized by the association of parents, whose children are ill with cancer, Life without Leukemia, within the Living Cells project, in cooperation with a private company. The exhibition will be opened till 8 January and afterwards will be presented in another location.
