Moldovan president, OSCE Mission's head discuss developments of security environment

Chisinau, 10 January /MOLDPRES/ - President Maia Sandu today had a discussion with Head of the OSCE Mission in Moldova Claus Neukirch. The officials tackled the developments of the security environment from the eastern area, as well as the ones from the Transnistrian region, the presidential press service has reported.

President Maia Sandu reiterated the key principles which must stay at the basis of the discussions on the Transnistrian conflict: a peaceful political solution, through which Moldova’s sovereignty and territorial integrity should be ensured, and which should result in a functional state. Another subject considered regarded the challenges dealing with the observance of the fundamental human rights in the Transnistrian region.
