As many as 1,139 new cases of COVID-19 recorded in Moldova in last 24 hours

Chisinau, 11 January /MOLDPRES/ - A number of 10,825 samples have been processed in Moldova in the last 24 hours and 1,139 cases of infection with the new-type coronavirus were confirmed. Thirty five out of the new cases are import ones. Thus, 382,124 COVID-19 cases have been registered in Moldova so far.

According to data by the Health Ministry (MS), 69 out of all infection cases are among medical employees (8 physicians, 39 medical assistants, 25 auxiliary staff employees).

As many as 1,008 people confirmed with COVID-19 are hospitalized in all, of whom 141 are in extremely serious condition and 14 patients are subjected to mechanical ventilation.

In the context, 2,940 persons are treated at home with light and moderate forms of coronavirus and 10,988 are under supervision at home.

Another 318 people have been treated. As many as 365,112 people were treated of COVID-19 in all.

At the same time, MS informs about the registration of another 17 deaths triggered by COVID-19 and 10,397 people have died of coronavirus in all.
