Chisinau, January 13 / MOLDPRES /- Customs officers from Leușeni today found four undeclared violins in the luggage of a 35-year-old Moldovan citizen.

According to the Customs Service, the case was registered at the entrance to the country through the Leușeni customs post, where a minibus that performed the occasional flight Great Britain - Republic of Moldova was presented for the specialized control.

During the checks, one of the passengers of the minibus verbally stated that he was carrying two violins, which were not marked with distinctive inscriptions. However, after a thorough physical check, the customs officers found four musical instruments, which the man intended to introduce in the country by evading the customs control.

At the request of the employees of the Customs Service, the man could not present documents proving the origin or value of the instruments. As a result, the four violins were lifted and the case is being investigated to establish the authenticity of the objects and to elucidate all the circumstances.
