Moldovan president conveys condolences on passing away of well-known painter

Chisinau, 17 January /MOLDPRES/ - President Maia Sandu has conveyed a message of condolences on the passing away of Andrei Mudrea, one of the most gifted and well-known fine artists from Moldova, the presidential press service has reported.

„He was a man of courage and dignity. An eternal seeker of beauty, of light and of freedom in art, as well as in life. A creator who always tried to get out of the patterns of the time and reinvent himself, finding original forms of expression. We have lost, in his person, a valuable artist, as well as a citizen deeply involved in the life of the country and of the society,’’ reads the message by President Maia Sandu.

The head of state conveyed sincere condolences to the relatives, friends, fellow artists, all those who knew and valued him.
