Moldovan actor, comedian turned 74 today

Chisinau, January 18 / MOLDPRES /- Actor, director, comedian and writer Gheorghe Urschi, People's Artist, holder of the Order of the Republic, winner of the National Award, nicknamed "the king of humor", turned 74 today.

Over more than four decades of activity, Gheorghe Urschi has written books, signed several plays, screenplays and made numerous shows and concerts.
Gheorghe Urschi is a member of the Theater Union and the Writers' Union of Moldova.

In June 2011, he suffered a stroke, following a year of hospitalization.

In 2008, Gheorghe Urschi was awarded the Order of the Republic, in 2012 he was awarded People's Artist title and in 2019 he was awarded the National Prize.

In 2014, on his birthday, he became an Honorary Citizen of Chisinau.
