More than 1,000,000 people vaccinated with full scheme against COVID-19 in Moldova

Chisinau, 18 January /MOLDPRES/ - As many as 1,001,014 people have been vaccinated with two doses (full scheme) in Moldova. The highest vaccination rate is recorded in the age group of 70-79 years.

According to data by the Health Ministry, the national coverage with full scheme is over 29 per cent or 47 per cent of the population with usual residence, reported by the National Statistics Bureau.

In Moldova, the vaccination campaign started on 2 March 2021 and 1,855,176 doses of anti-COVID-19 vaccine, with the first dose and booster, have been administered so far. Presently, the vaccines Comirnaty/Pfizer-BioNTech, Spikevax/Moderna, Vaxzevria/AstraZeneca, Sinopharm and CoronaVac/Sinovac are available in Moldova’s vaccination centres.
