Diplomas got in Moldova to be recognized in Romania

Chisinau, 21 January /MOLDPRES/ - The parliament today approved, in two readings, the ratification of the agreement between the governments of Moldova and of Romania on the mutual recognition of diplomas, certificates and scientific titles, issued by the education institutions from both states.     

The document establishes the types of education acts, of all education levels, which are mutually recognized – beginning with the education acts of the general education up to the scientific titles.  

The agreement also includes regulations for mutual recognition of the education acts got till Moldova’s accession to the Bologna Process. Thus, the new agreement determines the recognition and equalizing of the education documents, issued following the graduation of a general education institution with a duration of 10 or 11 years, such as it was till the introduction of the lyceum education of 12 years. The new provisions provide the holders of these education acts direct access to the higher education of Romania.       

Also, the agreement establishes special stipulations which regulate the mutual recognition of diplomas and certificates got upon the finishing of the post-graduate education, specialization post-graduate education and qualification courses at the post-graduate level, issued by both states.
