Polish investors show intention to extend businesses in Moldova

Chisinau, 21 January /MOLDPRES/ - Economics Minister Sergiu Gaibu has had a meeting with a group of Polish investors from various sectors, who assess possibility to extend their businesses in Moldova.
Attending the meeting was the head of the FASING Group from Poland, one of the world leaders in producing chains and equipment used in different industries, especially the mining one and VOLTA, interested in the development of information technology applications and components for the construction of photovoltaic parks. The Polish delegation is led by Honorary Consul of Moldova in Poland Pavel Scura.
The Polish representatives showed increased interest in investing in Moldova, noting that their example might be followed by other potential Polish investors as well. They are to identify, with the support of the Investments Agency, fit locations for the activities due to be carried out.
Minister Gaibu reiterated the government’s openness to provide every needed support, so that the investors enjoy fair conditions on Moldova’s market, which will enhance the commercial and diplomatic relations with Poland.
Ninety two enterprises with Polish capital work in Moldova, with the investments amounting to 227 million lei. Poland ranks 15th among the main investors of Moldova, in terms of the volume of capital invested.
