As many as 3,971 new cases of COVID-19 recorded in Moldova in last 24 hours

Chisinau, 21 January /MOLDPRES/ - A number of 15,367 samples have been processed in Moldova in the last 24 hours and 3,971 cases of infection with the new-type coronavirus were confirmed. Thirty nine out of the new cases are import ones. Thus, 404,556 COVID-19 cases have been registered in Moldova so far.

According to data by the Health Ministry (MS), 225 out of all infection cases are among medical employees (45 physicians, 98 medical assistants, 82 auxiliary staff employees).

As many as 1,940 people confirmed with COVID-19 are hospitalized in all, of whom 175 are in extremely serious condition and 28 patients are subjected to mechanical ventilation.

In the context, 12,435 persons are treated at home with light and moderate forms of coronavirus and 18,447 are under supervision at home.

Another 631 people have been treated. As many as 369,770 people were treated of COVID-19 in all.

At the same time, MS informs about the registration of another 13 deaths triggered by COVID-19 and 10,501 people have died of coronavirus in all.
