Exhibition dedicated to departed Moldovan writer opened at National Library

Chisinau, 24 January /MOLDPRES/ - An exhibition of documents and publications of the collections of Moldova’s National Library (BNRM), dedicated to the departed Moldovan writer, Victor Teleuca, occasioned by the 90th anniversary of the birthday of this poet, publicist, translator, has been recently opened at BNRM.
Contacted by MOLDPRES, the exhibition’s curator, Ludmila Erușevschi, said that about 100 document were displayed at the event.
He documents are systemized in four sections.
The exhibition can be visited till 13 February 2022.
Victor Teleuca was born in the Cepeleuti village, northern Edinet district, on 19 January 1933. He was editor-in-chief of the Culture weekly newspaper during 12 years (1964-76) and then founded the weekly Literature and Art in 1977 and led it till 1983. Teleuca was Laureate of the State Prize (1980), Merited Master in Arts (1983) and was awarded the Order of the Republic in 1998. Victor Teleuca died in Chisinau in 2002.
