AIPA resumed paying subsidies

Chisinau, 26 January /MOLDPRES/- Agency for Intervention and Payments for Agriculture (AIPA) started paying for applications for financial support received in 2021, with the entry into force of the State Budget Law for 2022.

In 2021, the Agency received a record number of applications for financial support - 12,759, of which: 8,522 (66.8%) - post-investment grants for 4602 sole agricultural producers; 3,502 (27.4%) - compensation for natural disasters that compromised the agricultural harvest in 2020 (expressed through humanitarian aid - diesel).

There were also 319 (2.5%) applications for the grant in advance (for the development of start-up projects and the improvement of living and working conditions in rural areas) and 416 (3.3%) - applications for granting direct payments per animal.

For the year 2022, according to the State Budget Law, the size of the National Fund for the Development of Agriculture and Rural Environment is 1.5 billion lei.
