More constructions carried out in Moldova in 2021 against 2020

Chisinau, 31 January /MOLDPRES/ - The number of authorizations for constructions increased in 2021; the authorizations for the construction of apartment buildings exceeded the ones issued for non-residential buildings.   

The National Statistics Bureau (BNS) informs that 4,118 construction authorizations for residential buildings were released in 2021, up by 35.5 per cent against the year before.  

According to statisticians, in 2021, 3,026 construction authorizations were released for residential buildings and 1,092 construction authorizations for non-residential buildings, increasing by 48 per cent and 9.9 per cent, respectively, against 2020.   

Regionally, last year against 2020, increases in the number of construction authorizations for residential buildings were noticed in the following regions of Moldova: Chisinau municipality (+763 authorizations or +82.3 per cent), North region (+27 or +10 per cent), Centru region (+191 or +41.1 per cent), South region (+4 or +2.3 per cent). At the same time, in the Autonomous Territorial Unit of Gagauzia, decision-makers issued by 3 construction authorizations for residential buildings (or by 1.4 per cent) less against 2020.       

Also, in 2021 against 2020, one could notice increases in the number of construction authorizations for non-residential buildings in the following regions: Chisinau (+11 authorizations or +6.8 per cent), North region (+60 or +30.9 per cent); Centru region (+54 or +20.6 per cent); UTA Gagauzia (+18 or +9.9 per cent). At the same time, in South region, decision-makers issued by 45 construction authorizations for non-residential buildings (or by 23 per cent) less against 2020.
