Seven new Centres of Information, Services for Citizens inaugurated in Moldova

Chisinau, 31 January /MOLDPRES/ - The My Community Programme of the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) and the mayoralties of the settlements Sangereii Noi, Carpineni, Soroca, Donduseni, Calarasi, Sangera and Copceac today inaugurated seven Centres of Information and Services for Citizens (CISC) in the aforementioned settlements, through an online event.
In his inauguration speech, Deputy Prime Minister for Digitalization Iurie Turcanu said that ‘’the change of the way of the authorities’ interaction with the citizens and of providing public services centrally and locally from old to new represents an important goal and in this respect, it is necessary that we join efforts, act jointly, produce changes, get closer to people needs in the direct sense, as nobody can lag behind the technological progress and I mean the public representatives of all levels, at all categories of citizens, especially those who need more digital alphabetization..’’
„Along with my team, and I mean here the three institutions which I coordinate, we will do our utmost to bring innovation to the public administration, reduce the digital difference and for this, we have concrete goals, political will and support,’’ Turcanu said.
Those seven Centres of Information and Services for Citizens have the goal to ensure the quick, efficient and transparent access of citizens to the services provided by the local authorities and will give citizens possibility to appeal to a single desk, set at the mayoralty, for requests to process and issue certificates, receipts and permits both in the social and in the commercial sectors.
„We have a nice partnership with the My Community Programme and we want to do, so as to bring innovations to the local public authorities,’ the director of the Electronic Governance Agency, Olga Tumuruc, said.
The aforementioned centres were set up within the My Community Programme, with the support of the Agencies USAID, SlovakAID and IREX.
