Moldovan president meets Croatian foreign and European affairs minister

Chisinau, 1 February /MOLDPRES/ - President Maia Sandu today met Croatia’s Foreign and European Affairs Minister Gordan Grlić Radman, on a working visit to Moldova. The officials discussed priorities of the Moldovan governance, the reforms underway in the justice sector and in the economic sector, as well as the challenges faced nationally and regionally.
According to the presidential press service, the head of state said that Moldova was interested in the strengthening of the bilateral relations with Croatia, especially in the economic sector. At the same time, Maia Sandu stressed that one of the priorities of the governance was to re-start the country’s economy through a string of systemic reforms, which will make the sector more attractive and more competitive on the market from the region.
Another subject of the discussion regarded the European integration of Moldova. Maia Sandu thanked Croatia for the support provided to Moldova in its European integration. She noted the country’s openness for the implementation of new forms of cooperation with EU.
