Chisinau, 2 February /MOLDPRES/ - The members of the parliamentary commission for social protection, health and family today approved a report to a draft law, which provides for the facilitation of the import of anti-COVID-19 vaccines, as humanitarian assistance.
The document sees that the specialized commission of the Health Ministry, Labour and Social Protection Ministry will be able to provide notifications for the import of anti-COVID-19 vaccines with a validity term of less than 6 months to Moldova, observing the condition that, at the moment of the entrance into the country, the validity term of these vaccines is not shorter than 50 per cent of the declared one.
The amendment is necessary, taking into account that the vaccines meant for immunization against the infection with coronavirus have a short validity term (6-9 months), as well as some logistic aspects as to their carriage and preservation.
The draft law is to be submitted to parliament’s plenum for consideration.
