Moldovan cabinet approves special regulation for collection, analysis, dissemination of statistics data

Chisinau, 2 February /MOLDPRES/ - The government, at a today’s meeting, approved a regulation on the procedure of establishing the producers of official statistics. The document represents the normative framework for the evaluation, production and dissemination of official statistics data nationally and internationally, the government’s communication and protocol department has reported.   

The regulation also provides for the way through which certain institutions can get the status of Another Producer of Official Statistics (APSO), along with the National Statistics Bureau (BNS) and the National Bank of Moldova (BNM).    

Under the document’s provisions, to get the capacity of APSO, the public institutions and authorities must have capacity to collect, process, systematize, centralize, analyze and disseminate statistics information, according to the fundamental principles of the official statistics.
