19:15 | 02.02.2022 Category: Official

Chisinau, 2 February /MOLDPRES/ - The assistance for the cold period of the year, in a quantum of 700 lei, will be provided to more disadvantaged families on the period 1 January – 31 March 2022. In this respect, the government today approved a draft decision, the goal of which is to support the families in the conditions of increase in the tariffs for utilities, as well as the enforcement of the amendments made to the law on changing the condition of establishing and providing the assistance for the cold period of the year, the government’s communication and protocol department has reported.

Thus, the draft sees that, at the providing of the allowance of assistance for the cold period of the year (APRA) for 1 January – 31 March 2022, decision-makers will not take into account the score calculated for the index of well-being on movable assets and real estate the family is owning/using (the proxy test will not be applied).

At the same time, if the right to ARPA expired/expires on the period 1 December 2021 – 28 February 2022, the period of providing the assistance will be automatically extended till 31 March 2022, without the need for the beneficiary to submit a new application.

At the same time, the applications rejected for giving the right to APRA, submitted after 1 November 2021 and which were turned down for reasons of exceeding the score set for the well-being indexes, will be revised automatically, through the Social Assistance automated information system.

The decision will enter into force on the date of its publication in the Official Journal and will be enforced for the period 1 January 2022 – 31 March 2022.
