Moldovan foreign ministry made press release on raising alert level for Ukraine

Chisinau, Feb. 24 / MOLDPRES /- In the context of the serious deterioration of the security situation in Ukraine tonight, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and European Integration urges the citizens of the Republic of Moldova not to travel to the neighboring country, and those who are temporarily in Ukraine to leave the territory of this state immediately, the MAEIE press service has reported.

At the same time, the MAEIE ordered the emergency evacuation of family members and non-essential staff from our country's embassy in Kiev and the Odessa consulate. The consular team is operational and acts in the direction of providing consular assistance and protection to citizens on the territory of Ukraine.

In this context, we recommend that you regularly check the travel alerts issued by the ministry, including on Telegram MAEIE Explains, or contact the Embassy of the Republic of Moldova in Kiev, the Consulate of the Republic of Moldova in Odessa or the MAEIE Call Center.
