Development projects for 2022-2024 announced in Gagauzia

Chisinau, Feb. 24 / MOLDPRES /- A meeting of the Regional Council for the Development of Autonomy took place today in Gagauzia. The management of the Comrat Regional Development Agency presented information on last year's activities, and the regional development operational program for 2022-2024 was also approved.

This year, five infrastructure projects are planned in Gagauzia, included in a single program document and approved for financing through the National Fund for Regional Development. The total cost of the projects is 44 million 624 thousand lei. Already in 2022, 14.5 million lei will be spent for the implementation of these projects.

Thus, this year, it is planned to complete the revitalization project in the municipality of Ceadir-Lunga, worth over 4 million lei, and the project to create innovative forms of education at the State University of Comrat, worth 439 thousand of lei.

Until 2024, works will be carried out in the region regarding the creation of the AT-Prolin equestrian tourist complex, which has a budget of over 14 million lei; the opening of a packing yard in the Comrat Industrial Park, the investments in the construction of which are estimated at 23 million lei; construction of a water treatment plant in Ceadir-Lunga worth 2.5million lei.

"In difficult times, the main investor in our development should be ourselves. The intensity of investment in the development of socio-economic infrastructure should be a signal that we are confident for our future. Please ensure the quality of investment. This is the only way we can persuade investors to invest in the industrialization of our economy and attract IT companies here, " Gagauz governor Irina Vlah said.
