Business environment in Moldova in solidarity with Ukrainian people

Chisinau, Feb. 25 / MOLDPRES /- Several companies in the country, tourist complexes, wineries, mobile phone operators, Railway etc. have expressed their solidarity with the people of Ukraine, who have been under Russian invasion since yesterday, and are either hosting Ukrainian refugees or providing other aid.

Thus, Purcari Wineries, MIMI, Costesti Complex announced among the first that they will host refugees who come in large numbers on the territory of our war-torn Ukrainian country.

Also, all mobile operators in the country offer free cards with unlimited traffic or special rates for refugees from Ukraine, so that they can get in touch with those who have stayed in the country.

Given that the airspace of the Republic of Moldova is closed and all flights are redirected to Iasi Airport, Romania, the State Enterprise "Calea Ferata din Moldova" announced that passengers of the Chisinau-Iasi flight can benefit from free transfer to and from Iasi International Airport.

Several public organizations and public institutions have formed points in different parts of the country where the population can bring aid to refugees.

At the same time, certain categories have understood that there is a need for rapid enrichment in a state of war. Thus, the social networks showed yesterday how in some cases the rents of the residential space in the capital and not only doubled. Also, some drivers offered transportation services at border crossings with taxes starting at one hundred euros.

The Parliament of the Republic of Moldova last night decided to establish a state of emergency throughout the country, for a period of 60 days, starting with February 24, 2022. The document stipulates that during the state of emergency, the Commission for Exceptional Situations are binding and enforceable for the heads of the central and local public administration authorities, of the economic agents, of the public institutions, as well as for the citizens and other persons located on the territory of Moldova.
