Moldovan PM has phone conversation with Lithuanian counterpart

Chisinau, 25 February /MOLDPRES/ - Prime Minister Natalia Gavrilita has had a phone conversation with Prime Minister of Lithuania Ingrida Šimonytė, the government’s communication and protocol department has reported.

The two officials discussed the security situation in the region and the challenges faced by Moldova in this context.

Natalia Gavrilita referred to the processes of management of the flow of Ukrainian citizens who come to Moldova following the military actions.

For her part, Prime Minister of Lithuania Ingrida Šimonytė appreciated the way Moldova’s government had managed to mobilize and ensure the protection of people who fled the war. She noted that Lithuania was willing to support the country’s efforts and to provide the needed humanitarian assistance.
