Moldovan president thanked volunteers for assistance in managing flow of refugees from Ukraine

Chisinau, March 2 / MOLDPRES /- President Maia Sandu met yesterday with volunteers of Moldova for Peace working group, a structure set up under the Ministry of Internal Affairs and the Government to coordinate with other state institutions the flow of refugees from Ukraine, the presidential press service has reported.

The head of state thanked them for solidarity and humanity.

"These young people, along with thousands of other volunteers on the ground, contribute daily, side by side, to the joint effort of the authorities to receive, accommodate and provide the necessary assistance to people fleeing the war in Ukraine. Talk to these volunteers on the phone when you want to lend a helping hand to refugees. They are also the ones who welcome the refugees at the border and guide them on the next steps ", the president said.

In this context, the head of state thanked all the volunteers who responded to the call of the authorities to help the refugees from Ukraine. According to Maia Sandu, everyone's effort and involvement is invaluable and contributes to the unity of the whole country.
