Scientific conference dedicated to great Moldovan composer held in Chisinau

Chisinau, 3 March /MOLDPRES/ - The B.P. Hasdeu Municipal Library from the capital today organized a scientific conference titled, Perception and understanding of the work of composer Eugen Doga, in the context of the Eugen Doga Cultural Year.
In her greeting message, the director general of the aforementioned library, Mariana Harjevschi, said the institution she leads was constantly concerned about the promotion and turning to account of the works of the distinguished composer.
„Eugen Doga is honorary citizen of the capital. Therefore, the Municipal Library is focused on the collection of books dedicated to his personality and works. Thus, the Municipal Library collected about 200 books and articles written and dedicated to Eugen Doga. Starting from 1993, the Library has made and edited the first bibliography of Eugen Doga. Afterwards, the Academy of Sciences of Moldova took over as nucleus of research this bibliographic achievement, leading the research further. In the Eugen Doga Cultural Year, the B.P. Hasdeu Municipal Library implement more initiatives and projects dedicated to master Doga; one of them is this scientific conference, in which valuable researchers of master Eugen Doga participate,’’ Marian Harjevschi said.
