10:51 | 06.03.2022 Category: Economic

Chisinau, March 6 / MOLDPRES /- The National Energy Regulatory Agency (ANRE) has announced that the information published yesterday on petrol / diesel deficit at the fuel stations in the country is false.

In this context, ANRE informs that at present, imports into the Republic of Moldova are made in volumes comparable to the average for the period up to the onset of the crisis in Ukraine.

"The stocks of petrol, diesel and liquefied gas held by the importing oil companies are at a sufficient level to meet the existing demand," explains the Agency.

According to ANRE, together with other government institutions, the necessary actions are being taken to identify alternative sources of imports in order not to admit the lack of fuels on the market.

The National Agency for Energy Regulation asks the media sources and the citizens to operate with information from verified sources and not to admit the misinformation of the population.
