Likewise, President Maia Sandu appreciated the firm support of the United States of America for the sovereignty and territorial integrity of the Republic of Moldova and for our European path.

At the same time, the talks focused on the situation in the region and our country's efforts to support refugees from Ukraine. The head of state stressed that more than 250,000 people have crossed the border between Ukraine and Moldova since the beginning of the fighting. "The Moldovan-American partnership will help us strengthen our country's ability to meet the challenges of the weather. A resilient and adaptable Moldova can become a pole of stability and development in the region, a reliable partner and an outpost of the free world. We have big plans for the transformation of the country, but for this we need peace ", Maia Sandu said.
