Chisinau, March 7 / MOLDPRES /- The Civil Aviation Authority (AAC) will ensure the organization of irregular flights to facilitate the movement of refugees entering the Republic of Moldova from Ukraine.

"Refugees who have entered the territory of the Republic of Moldova from Ukraine and intend to migrate to another country, have the opportunity to register by filling in the online form by accessing the official page of the Civil Aviation Authority - www.caa.md/repatriere", the institution states.

Applicants can also register by phone at 022 823 500 and 022 823 587. Calls will be available starting Monday, March 7, from 8:00 am to 6:00 pm.

Requests will be processed in a database, which will provide real-time information about the likelihood of operating the escape flight as soon as possible. At the stage when at least 150 people will be certified on a destination, the Civil Aviation Authority will start the competition to select the airline that will perform the evacuation flight.

The announcement of the competition for the selection of the air operator that will operate the flight will be published on the official page of the Civil Aviation Authority. The winner will be named based on the lowest price offered per seat (all taxes included).

The designated air operator will have 48 hours to inform all applicants of the execution of the escape flight to that destination, the marketing of tickets and their transportation.

"The flights are commercial, the costs are covered by the applicants, and the passengers must have valid travel documents for the country of destination", summarizes a communiqué of the Civil Aviation Authority.
