Cimislia sewerage system to be expanded

Chisinau, March 7 / MOLDPRES /- The management of the Regional Development Agency (ADR South) and the authorities in Cimişlia recently signed a financing contract within the project Extension of the sewerage system in Cimișlia, which is to be financed from the sources of the National Fund for Regional Development (FNDR).

The contract has a total value of about 37.91 million lei, of which 33.63 million will be allocated over the next two years from FNDR sources. The other expenses, amounting to about 4.28 million lei, will be covered from the Cimișlia city budget.

The project Extension of the sewerage system in Cimișlia, which is found in the Single Program Document 2022-2024 and was included in the Financing Plan for 2022 from the financial means of FNDR, aims to increase the urban comfort and attractiveness of Cimișlia for citizens and investors by extending the sewerage system in line with national standards.

"The project envisages the execution of works to extend the existing city sewer network by 20.1 km, the construction of a wastewater pumping station, the connection to wastewater treatment services. an increase in the number of consumers is expected ", according to ADR Sud.

Thus, following the implementation of the project, about 5,200 inhabitants of Cimișlia, 277 enterprises, including public institutions and economic agents, will be connected to a modern sewerage network and will obtain sustainable access to quality public services and utilities.

At the beginning of this year, the National Council for the Coordination of Regional Development approved the allocation of 4.57 million lei for the works to be carried out during 2022 within the project.
