Military sappers destroyed 67 explosive devices in February

Chisinau, March 7 / MOLDPRES /- In February National Army sappers carried out 14 demining missions in the localities from Ștefan Vodă, Fălești, Telenești, Orhei, Bălți, Cahul, Căușeni and Ungheni districts.

According to the Ministry of Defense, the sappers found and destroyed 67 explosive objects and 5,185 cartridges of various calibers.

All explosive devices date from World War II and were liquidated in maximum security.

Since the beginning of this year, the engineers of the National Army have destroyed a total of 88 explosives and 7,885 cartridges.

The Ministry of Defense warns that in the case of detecting unidentified explosive objects, it is strictly forbidden to touch them with your hand or other objects, to hit or move ammunition found in the ground or on the surface, to dismantle warheads or other components.
