Illegal trade in humanitarian aid to be sanctioned

Chisinau, March 10 / MOLDPRES /- A new article could be introduced in the Contravention Code of the Republic of Moldova - regarding the sanctioning of the illegal trade in humanitarian aid. A draft law in this regard has been approved by the Committee on Economy, Budget and Finance, and will be submitted to Parliament for approval.
According to the project, the illegal sale of goods that constitute humanitarian aid will be sanctioned with a fine between 2,000-3,000 lei to private people and 3,750-5,000 lei to the person in charge.
The competence to resolve the respective contravention is to be attributed to the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
