ADR North signed financing contracts for 11 new infrastructure projects

Chisinau, March 10 / MOLDPRES /- At the North Regional Development Agency (ADR), the last financing contracts were signed yesterday with the new beneficiaries and partners within the infrastructure projects that, in the next two years, will be implemented in several localities in the Northern Development Region of the Republic of Moldova.

The financing contracts cover the 11 projects included in the Annual Financing Plan from the financial means of the National Fund for Regional and Local Development (FNDR) for 2022, whose beneficiaries have the necessary documentation to start the project implementation process. Public procurement procedures are currently under way in some projects.

The new infrastructure projects will obtain funding from the National Development Fund, according to the Single Program Document (DUP) for the period 2022-2024. For the current year, about 105 million lei have been allocated for the implementation of the 11 projects.

"Important financial sources are to be used for the implementation of five water supply and sewerage projects, five projects for capitalization of historical heritage and revitalization of urban areas and a project for capitalization of business infrastructure", said ADR Nord.

Among the projects to be funded are: the Start-up Hub network: Entrepreneurial Laboratories in the North Development Region; rehabilitation, modernization and endowment of the Museum of History and Ethnography from Bălți; the historical and cultural heritage of the Northern Development Region by rehabilitating the Museum of History and Ethnography in Soroca etc.
