Multilateral agreement on exchange of information on financial accounts ratified

Chisinau, March 10 / MOLDPRES /- Parliament today ratified multilateral Agreement between the competent authorities for the automatic exchange of information on financial accounts.

By adhering to this document, the Republic of Moldova will be able to exchange information in order to identify individuals or entities that evade income tax returns and pay taxes by transferring money to foreign accounts.

Thus, a list will be drawn up of the states with which the respective exchange of information will be carried out automatically. To date, 114 states have acceded to the Multilateral Agreement of the competent authorities for the automatic exchange of information on financial accounts.

The exchange will include information to identify the person (name, address, tax code), information on the account number, name and identification number of the reporting financial institution, information on the balance or value of the account.
